What We Offer
The Difference That Careful Practice Makes
Choosing legal counsel for a family matter is a considered decision. Here is what Pranee Legal brings to that relationship — and what sets our approach apart.

Core Strengths
Single Advocate Continuity
One senior advocate handles your matter from intake through resolution. You build a working relationship with one person, not a revolving team.
Cross-Border Capability
Deep familiarity with the documentation and procedural requirements that arise when Thai law intersects with foreign nationals, consulates, and international registries.
Stated Fees, No Surprises
Service fees are set out in the engagement letter before any work begins. Disbursements are discussed in advance. You make decisions with full financial information.
Pace That Respects You
We do not apply pressure or create urgency where none exists. Family situations unfold at their own pace, and we adapt our work accordingly.
English and Thai Practice
We work in both languages, which matters considerably for expatriates and mixed-nationality couples. Documentation is prepared in the language required for each jurisdiction.
Hua Hin-Based Office
A physical office in central Hua Hin means in-person consultations, convenient for residents and visitors across Prachuap Khiri Khan province.
In Depth
What Each Benefit Means in Practice
Fifteen Years of Family Law Practice
Pranee Legal's founding advocate has spent over fifteen years working in family and civil law, with a particular focus on cross-border matters and the intersection of Thai family law with foreign jurisdictions. This experience covers marriage registration processes, recognition of foreign divorce decrees, parental rights disputes, and full Family Court proceedings including appeal.
- Registered with the Lawyers Council of Thailand
- Extensive experience with cross-border family documentation
- Familiarity with consular requirements across multiple embassies
A Structured, Transparent Process
Each engagement follows a clear sequence: initial consultation, written engagement letter with stated fees, preparation, client review, and submission or proceeding. Clients know what is happening at every stage, what is expected of them, and what the likely next step involves.
- Written engagement letter before any work proceeds
- Client review of prepared documents before submission
- Regular updates at each material stage
Communication That Keeps You Informed
Clients should never need to chase their advocate for an update. We communicate proactively when something material occurs and make ourselves available for questions between planned conversations. Our office is accessible by telephone, email, and in-person appointment.
- Proactive updates — no need to chase
- Accessible by phone, email, and appointment
- Plain language — no unnecessary legal terminology
Fees That Reflect the Work, Not the Uncertainty
Our fees are set at the outset of each engagement. Cross-border documentation starts at ฿2,500; divorce negotiation support at ฿8,200; court mandate with appellate cover at ฿10,200. Any disbursements — official fees, translation costs, notary charges — are identified in advance and discussed with the client before being incurred.
- Fees set before work begins
- Disbursements identified and agreed in advance
- No ambiguity about what the engagement covers
Outcomes Focused on What Matters to You
We approach each matter with a clear understanding of what the client is trying to achieve. For some, that is a clean and complete documentation package for a marriage registration. For others, it is a negotiated separation that avoids a drawn-out court process. We shape our work around your priorities, not a standard template.
- Client priorities shape the approach from the outset
- Honest assessment of realistic outcomes
- Settlement options explored before court proceedings

What Makes Us Different
Distinctive Features of Pranee Legal
The Principal Advocate Leads Every Matter
Many practices assign senior advocates to intake and then hand matters to junior colleagues. At Pranee Legal, the founding advocate personally leads each client's matter throughout. This is not a policy — it is simply how the practice is structured.
Engagement Letters That Mean Something
Our written engagement letters set out, in plain terms, what services are covered, what the fee is, and what is not included. This document protects both sides and forms the basis of a working relationship built on clarity.
Settlement Explored Before Litigation
Court proceedings are often not in either party's interest. We explore negotiated and mediated resolutions as a genuine first step, and are candid with clients about the likely costs and duration of contested litigation before recommending that path.
Coordination Across Multiple Authorities
Cross-border family matters involve Thai authorities, foreign embassies, notaries, and translators — often simultaneously. We manage that coordination so that clients have a single point of contact rather than navigating multiple agencies themselves.
